Capitzalizing on the Red Sox Foundation, I created a story pitch for a Boston journalist. Tommy's Place, a Cape Cod nonprofit, aligns with the Foundation's mission to serve Boston children to improve their health and recreational opportunities. Aligning the story with a timely news event was key to the pitch.
In this fictional scenario, the company had to freeze all non-team travel expenses. I created a message from the CEO to all employees regarding the situation, detailing what has happened and what the next steps are.

These talking points guided me through a mock media briefing regarding a crisis scenario at a Mariott resort location. As the Head of Guest Relations, my role was to open the media briefing and explain the situation to the reporters, as well as detail how the guest relations team was managing the situation. Following the panel of speakers, I led the question and answer portion of our briefing, directing questions to the appropriate person.
